Omar Pedraza was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 8th minute, Horacio Escalona ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Omar Pedraza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 11 played minutes AFC Richmond got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Albano. Carlos Albis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mariano Daughters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Daniel Maldini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Omar Pedraza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Escalona, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Horacio Escalona notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of AFC Richmond's Omar Pedraza. Omar Pedraza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Horacio Escalona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Darío Brizuela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Horacio Escalona sped through AFC Richmond's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Omar Pedraza. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

AFC Richmond's Severiano Sanabria was substituted for Carlos Albis. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Richmond's zone, Horacio Escalona stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omar Pedraza came out of the goal and Horacio Escalona tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 62 minutes into the match, AFC Richmond's goal looked a bit too open when Darío Brizuela came free, but Omar Pedraza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Horacio Escalona received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Omar Pedraza came out and tried to block the shot, but Horacio Escalona slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 67th minute. Horacio Escalona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Omar Pedraza having to make a save. Darío Brizuela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Omar Pedraza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. After 77 minutes, Darío Brizuela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SiTomanBoy´s and the AFC Richmond players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of AFC Richmond booed when SiTomanBoy´s was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darío Brizuela didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Demesio Melivilu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SiTomanBoy´s's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Richmond the free kick. In the 89th minute, Demesio Melivilu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Omar Pedraza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horacio Escalona in the 96th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SiTomanBoy´s eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
