The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fernan Asturias hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Rubio Villapadierna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rubio Villapadierna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rius Monje kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mero Barbadillo during the 15th minute. Fabian Quijano, 16 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some careless play in the Club Dep. Soc. Rodo defense, Fernan Asturias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donatello Barajo. The Club Dep. Soc. Rodo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donatello Barajo should have stopped the shot. In the 24th minute, Nevada Lloret ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Imanol Gonzalo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Nevada Lloret managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's supporters rose to their feet, but Nevada Lloret was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Imanol Gonzalo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th match minute, Cimarrones F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artur Caspe to maneuver through the defense. After 31 played minutes, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Olando Marty shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Imanol Gonzalo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Club Dep. Soc. Rodo reached it. Vidal Ximeno kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Fernan Asturias dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Donatello Barajo, 2-1. Donatello Barajo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaskon Avila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nevada Lloret made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Fabian Quijano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cimarrones F.C. and the Club Dep. Soc. Rodo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st minute, one of Cimarrones F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cimarrones F.C.. Rubio Villapadierna's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Imanol Gonzalo firmly grabbed it by the left post. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Vidal Ximeno sped through Cimarrones F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Imanol Gonzalo. After a rather tough play, Cimarrones F.C.'s Chap Agrelo got a free kick in the 69th minute. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Nevada Lloret got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Club Dep. Soc. Rodo defense, Artur Caspe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Donatello Barajo. The Club Dep. Soc. Rodo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Donatello Barajo should have stopped the shot. After 97 minutes, Olando Marty mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Dep. Soc. Rodo and the Cimarrones F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Olando Marty hit a great freekick 98 minutes into the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
