Jozef Adamica made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Róbert Klirčík fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jozef Adamica having to interfere. ŠK Horelica's Jozef Adamica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Košút in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th match minute, MIK Focus ŽILINA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Košút to maneuver through the defense. Mário Štrbák who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Peter Belník when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ivan Lučan kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to MIK Focus ŽILINA getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Gabriel Šesták hit a great ball. 31 minutes into the match, ŠK Horelica's Mário Štrbák sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Belník narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute, Miroslav Žižka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jozef Koštialik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Peter Belník tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter Belník made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mário Štrbák in the 38th minute. Daniel Košút took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jozef Adamica. Jozef Adamica dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Ivan Schuster's late challenge caught a MIK Focus ŽILINA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Schuster helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of MIK Focus ŽILINA booed when ŠK Horelica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Schuster didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Juraj Bahna notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ŠK Horelica's Jozef Adamica. Jozef Adamica was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Juraj Bahna hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. If Jozef Koštialik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the game, MIK Focus ŽILINA's Daniel Košút nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jozef Adamica made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. ŠK Horelica's Jozef Koštialik got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peter Belník showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jozef Koštialik, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Jozef Koštialik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Peter Belník read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Miroslav Žižka charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miroslav Žižka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to MIK Focus ŽILINA getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Miroslav Žižka hit a great ball. ŠK Horelica's Mário Štrbák got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Peter Belník came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by ŠK Horelica's Mário Štrbák. But to his dismay, Mário Štrbák quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4.
