Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Marcel Mallinger successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mauro Primeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcel Mallinger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauro Primeiro in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Mallinger saved FV Wienerwald from getting behind. In the 32ndth minute of the game Mauro Primeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FV Wienerwald's Marcel Mallinger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcel Mallinger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartosz Erland in the 33rd minute of play. Poli Timisoara were awarded a corner in the 35th minute after FV Wienerwald's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Horst-Peter Unterberger took the corner. Justus Sandkühler tried in the 35th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Marcel Mallinger a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 2-0. In the 38th minute Mauro Primeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Mallinger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute, Kim Rehmer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudolf Reichert hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. 48 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's Horst-Peter Unterberger broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anfilogino Alfonsi to strike the kick off in the second half. Per Nienhaus replaced Jiang Yang Yuan. Poli Timisoara's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
