The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hansjörg Pothmer in the 3rd minute of play forced FC Temeswar Banat's goalkeeper Aimé Holtmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vorwärts Lübeck's goalkeeper Abubakar Noach, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Abubakar Noach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agapito Diaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Aimé Holtmann made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Helge Pihlberg sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Aimé Holtmann successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 10 minutes into the match, Vorwärts Lübeck's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Neubauer came free, but Abubakar Noach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian Neubauer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abubakar Noach read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. FC Temeswar Banat's Aimé Holtmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hansjörg Pothmer in the 16th minute of play. Abubakar Noach came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Temeswar Banat's Adrian Neubauer. But to his dismay, Adrian Neubauer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 20thth minute of the game Adrian Neubauer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vorwärts Lübeck's Abubakar Noach was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aimé Holtmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Förster, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Glenn Schmermbeck was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 28 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 27th minute of the game. One of Vorwärts Lübeck:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Temeswar Banat:s goal. Artemio Lucian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abubakar Noach having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Vorwärts Lübeck's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Neubauer came free, but Abubakar Noach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute Adrian Neubauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abubakar Noach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The wind increased when Rafael Förster made the kick off in the second half. Vorwärts Lübeck's Abubakar Noach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agapito Diaz in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hansjörg Pothmer in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aimé Holtmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st minute Agapito Diaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abubakar Noach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Vorwärts Lübeck's goalkeeper Abubakar Noach had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Benigno Osmundo. Aimé Holtmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Förster, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After some careless play in the Vorwärts Lübeck defense, Adrian Neubauer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abubakar Noach. Adrian Neubauer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 91 minutes, Hansjörg Pothmer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vorwärts Lübeck's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hansjörg Pothmer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, FC Temeswar Banat's goal looked a bit too open when Hansjörg Pothmer came free, but Aimé Holtmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC Temeswar Banat had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
