In the 41st minute of the match, Augusto Benitez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ysmael Marfil saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Buffalo Timişoara getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Brent-Jan Koninckx hit a great ball. The Buffalo Timişoara players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. DINAMO were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Moise Vlădean to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Kiko Pirani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2.
