Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Adevarul Pur's Ionică Vârlan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Cosmin Druță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Adevarul Pur's zone, Gheorghe Cunea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ionel Mârza came out of the goal and Gheorghe Cunea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matei Trişcu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionică Vârlan in the 7th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gheorghe Cunea got free with Ionel Mârza in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 10th minute Gheorghe Cunea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionel Mârza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emil Cernea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ionel Mârza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After taking down the ball on Steaua Bucuresti's corner Cezar Cernescu fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ionel Mârza quite easily take care of the ball. Cezar Cernescu had several of the Adevarul Pur's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Ionel Mârza as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Steaua Bucuresti booed when Adevarul Pur was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mihăiţă Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steaua Bucuresti's Aurel Pandrea couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Adevarul Pur. Ionel Mârza made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Gheorghe Cunea sent off a good shot on target. Ionel Mârza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cezar Cernescu in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Gheorghe Cunea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionel Mârza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Adevarul Pur's Andrei Mihăescu to fire away a dangerous shot which Matei Trişcu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 37 minutes of play, Adevarul Pur's Ionică Vârlan made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matei Trişcu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ionică Vârlan scored 1-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matei Trişcu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adevarul Pur's Ionel Mârza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Adevarul Pur from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gheorghe Cunea to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Adevarul Pur's goal looked a bit too open when Aurel Pandrea came free, but Ionel Mârza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Pompiliu Cobzeanu fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Adevarul Pur's protests and gave Pompiliu Cobzeanu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Adevarul Pur getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Pompiliu Cobzeanu hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Steaua Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Ştefan Costin came free, but Matei Trişcu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ionel Mârza came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Steaua Bucuresti's Aurel Pandrea. But to his dismay, Aurel Pandrea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Ionel Mârza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nae Matei, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Adevarul Pur's Ionică Vârlan was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 71st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Vasile Dragomir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the match, Adevarul Pur's goal looked a bit too open when Traian Constantinescu came free, but Ionel Mârza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Adevarul Pur's goal looked a bit too open when Cezar Cernescu came free, but Ionel Mârza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matei Trişcu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ionică Vârlan went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Steaua Bucuresti's Emil Cernea got a free kick in the 92nd minute.
