But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hans Kilstedt couldn't finish the play. Lars Hernström hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 13thth minute of the game Hans Kilstedt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nordic Union's Manfred Öberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Hans Kilstedt came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Jonsereds IF fans jumped to their feet. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Hans Kilstedt put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Manfred Öberg. Hans Kilstedt might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manfred Öberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hans Kilstedt ran back to his position shaking his head. Hans Kilstedt took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manfred Öberg. Manfred Öberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 33 minutes into the match, Jonsereds IF's goalkeeper Gil Garcia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivar Billock. When Hans Kilstedt came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Jonsereds IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hans Kilstedt couldn't finish the play. Manfred Öberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronny Nilsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 36th minute, Ronny Nilsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manfred Öberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Hans Kilstedt took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manfred Öberg. Manfred Öberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.
Manfred Öberg didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 52nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronny Nilsson in the 54th minute of play forced Nordic Union's goalkeeper Manfred Öberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Jonsereds IF's corner Ronny Nilsson fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Manfred Öberg quite easily take care of the ball. With his leg Manfred Öberg managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Jonsereds IF's Hans Kilstedt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A sloppy throw-in by Nilton Secco in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Jonsereds IF's Jarl Petersson. In the 69th match minute, Nordic Union was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Fernström to maneuver through the defense. After 70 played minutes Nordic Union got a freekick which was hit by Tom Fernström. In the 75th minute Fredrik Söderquist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hans Kilstedt got free with Manfred Öberg in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Nordic Union getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Nilton Secco hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Jonsereds IF's Manfred Öberg threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ronny Nilsson, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 80 minutes into the match, Hans Kilstedt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Manfred Öberg, 1-6. Ronny Nilsson charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronny Nilsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd minute, Ronny Nilsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the game, Nilton Secco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nordic Union's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jonsereds IF the free kick. The supporters of Jonsereds IF booed when Nordic Union was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilton Secco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute Mariusz Prusinowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jonsereds IF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
