After 43 minutes, Karl-Ove Säfström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avantgarde and the Gärsnäs BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Carl Brandin made a kick off. The supporters of Gärsnäs BF booed when Avantgarde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Ove Säfström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frederick Griscti struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Michael Hedström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gärsnäs BF. Carl Brandin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Wang Cheng when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 69 minutes into the match, Gärsnäs BF's goalkeeper Wang Cheng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl Brandin. Gärsnäs BF's Wang Cheng proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Gärsnäs BF from getting a goal against them. Wang Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inge Jönsson in the 75th minute of play. Mårten Julin kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Carl Brandins short, quick shot in the 86thth minute got Wang Cheng to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ivan Blomqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Tord Lang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inge Jönsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wang Cheng came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Avantgarde's Carl Brandin. But to his dismay, Carl Brandin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.
