Timothy MacFarland was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 39th minute Douglass Tinsley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarrett Rosenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Patrick Fontenot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrick Fontenot was the one to do the kick off. Nomads Football Club's Bob Craft quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Robustiano Amor, made in the 82nd minute of the game. Toby Peters struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Jarrett Rosenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nomads Football Club. In the 89th match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robustiano Amor to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick Fontenot in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Timothy MacFarland prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
