The Dragonf⮊rcE fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. São Francisco FC86's Mauro Castilho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Coelho in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Alexandre Fraga threw the ball into play from the sideline. Dragonf⮊rcE's Daniel Antunes quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jorge Maltez's late challenge caught a Dragonf⮊rcE's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Maltez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, Jorge Maltez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of São Francisco FC86 booed when Dragonf⮊rcE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Dresselbjerg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Dragonf⮊rcE's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Pinheiro came free, but Zacarias Sesimbra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 minutes, Alexandre Fraga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the São Francisco FC86 and the Dragonf⮊rcE players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 29 played minutes São Francisco FC86 got a freekick which was hit by Alexandre Fraga. In the 38th match minute, São Francisco FC86 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Soares to maneuver through the defense. Zacarias Sesimbra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Pinheiro in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Ronaldo Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Pinheiro to make the kick off. The supporters of Dragonf⮊rcE booed when São Francisco FC86 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Soares didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute Virgílio Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Castilho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dragonf⮊rcE's goalkeeper Zacarias Sesimbra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 63rd minute of the match Emílio Águas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zacarias Sesimbra showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Mauro Castilho didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Dragonf⮊rcE's Barry Houghton shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Dragonf⮊rcE made a substitution. Ludo Tobbackers replaced Herman Dresselbjerg. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Barry Houghton sped through São Francisco FC86's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mauro Castilho. Barry Houghton took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mauro Castilho. Mauro Castilho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Dragonf⮊rcE made a substitution. Mário Jardel replaced Barry Houghton. 82 minutes into the game, Dragonf⮊rcE's Ludo Tobbackers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mauro Castilho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. In the 85th match minute, São Francisco FC86 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabrício Calçada to maneuver through the defense. Virgílio Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Maltez hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
