The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teet Jusson during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. CSKA Tallinn's Ludwig Dubs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kalju Palk in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Tapa Athlétic™ booed when CSKA Tallinn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermo Must didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th match minute, Tapa Athlétic™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gheorghiţă Hagi to maneuver through the defense. CSKA Tallinn made a substitution. Konrad Üleoja replaced Vaino Korra. Ludwig Dubs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gheorghiţă Hagi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Taavet Lemsalu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Mugurel Chiriloaie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ludwig Dubs was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Despite this Ludwig Dubs quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Roland Muusik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ludwig Dubs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Tapa Athlétic™'s Mugurel Chiriloaie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ludwig Dubs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Mugurel Chiriloaie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ludwig Dubs was relentless in the 95th minute of the game. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
