Venancio Oto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Ove Tunander, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Gregorio Lehior showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Frichoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Gregorio Lehior played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermegildo Heriberto in the 13th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Ermegildo Heriberto notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Tacheros de Buenos Aires's Gregorio Lehior. In the 40th minute of the match Jan-Ove Tunander sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Venancio Oto skillfully saved the ball. Faustão Melo's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Venancio Oto firmly grabbed it by the left post. Faustão Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Venancio Oto made a huge save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Tomas Santikurtz took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Venancio Oto. Venancio Oto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Gregorio Lehior showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Heriberto in the 63rd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Punta Alvear's goal looked a bit too open when Faustão Melo came free, but Venancio Oto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Tacheros de Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Ermegildo Heriberto came free, but Gregorio Lehior reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Adolfo Blanco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Venancio Oto having to interfere. Tomas Santikurtz kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The Tacheros de Buenos Aires supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Punta Alvear's performance. The match ended with a win for Punta Alvear.
