A well done corner resulted in He Qiang drilling the ball in to score 1-1 behind MORPH's goalkeeper. Romulo Gelacio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carel Rokeloos, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Boni Yarman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elano Negro made in the 44th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Norberto Fresco immediately put the ball in play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind INDEPENDIENTE FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Romulo Gelacio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47th minute MORPH were awarded a corner. Ambrosio Estevez went to the cornerflag to take it. After the first half MORPH were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Paulo Eguen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romulo Gelacio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. When Paulo Eguen came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the MORPH fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Eguen couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. MORPH walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
