In the 3rd minute, Elpidio Francis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aquilino Edur. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 24th minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aquilino Edur. Aquilino Edur yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. If Elpidio Francis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Aquilino Edur managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Elpidio Francis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aquilino Edur came out and tried to block the shot, but Elpidio Francis slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 35th minute. Elpidio Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aquilino Edur read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Branislav Velchevski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Ursini, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 44 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Ursini came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elpidio Francis to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Elpidio Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters rose to their feet, but Elpidio Francis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aquilino Edur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 53 minutes into the match, Paladar Negro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Francis came free, but Aquilino Edur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aquilino Edur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Francis in the 65th minute of the match. Elpidio Francis took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aquilino Edur. Aquilino Edur dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Roland Kolacki was substituted for Miguel Prosperi. Paladar Negro FC's Aquilino Edur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Francis in the 70th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aquilino Edur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 82 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Ursini came free, but Branislav Velchevski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
