The Yaji FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yao Guang Chao should have stopped the shot. In the 28th match minute, Yaji FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Ranolfo to maneuver through the defense. If Arturo Ranolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arturo Ranolfo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 32ndth minute, Victor Paublo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Salliqueló's zone, Arturo Ranolfo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victor Paublo came out of the goal and Arturo Ranolfo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victor Paublo made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Arturo Ranolfo sent off a good shot on target. Yao Guang Chao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Cordara in the 36th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Emanuel Cordara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yao Guang Chao saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arturo Ranolfo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Victor Paublo having to make a save. Yao Guang Chao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Lopes in the 42nd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Cordara was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kryspin Ziemba in the 86th minute of play forced Salliqueló's goalkeeper Victor Paublo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Ricardo Heriberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Paublo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kryspin Ziemba's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Salliqueló's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
