In the 7th minute, Cornelio Guerrero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aurelio Quintan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Newpi Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Abaunza came free, but Richard Textex reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute Gaudencio Abaunza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Textex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Richard Textex showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Fero, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Yngve Pihl's late challenge caught a Newpi Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yngve Pihl helped the player get up and apologised. Yngve Pihl hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 31st match minute, Dunder Mifflin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Fero to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Gaudencio Abaunza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Textex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Newpi Academy's zone, Yngve Pihl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Textex came out of the goal and Yngve Pihl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Dunder Mifflin getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Amador Enetz hit a great ball. Antonio Perrando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 46 minutes, Delmiro Gebler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dunder Mifflin and the Newpi Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Newpi Academy booed when Dunder Mifflin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Gebler didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gaudencio Abaunza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Gaudencio Abaunza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Textex saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Newpi Academy's Richard Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmiro Gebler in the 57th minute of play. Richard Textex took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Abaunza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aurelio Quintan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ion Hidiș in the 71st minute of the match. After 72 minutes of play, Dunder Mifflin's Delmiro Gebler made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Richard Textex was left in no man's land by his defense there! Newpi Academy's Guaberto Efren was substituted for Ion Hidiș. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Tonete in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurelio Quintan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dunder Mifflin's goalkeeper Aurelio Quintan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the match, Delmiro Gebler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Textex. Newpi Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delmiro Gebler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Newpi Academy's Richard Textex played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Abaunza in the 85th minute of play. The Dunder Mifflin fans cheered their team off the field, for while Newpi Academy had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
