Cristobal Lizer charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristobal Lizer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pink Floyd getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Cristobal Lizer hit a great ball. Fernando Gartxot came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Nacional's Carlos Alberto Azevedo. But to his dismay, Carlos Alberto Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Fernando Gartxot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafin Theodore in the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Primitivo Mendez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Fernando Gartxot was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Baldomero Rodas in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fernando Gartxot, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Vicente Sasoin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fernando Gartxot. That made the score 3-0 in the 15 minute of play. Fernando Gartxot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Rodas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Pink Floyd's Fernando Gartxot got control of the ball when Vicente Sasoin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 21st play minutes Carlos Alberto Azevedo shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Fernando Gartxot and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 26th play minute Vicente Sasoin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fernando Gartxot. 5-0. Nemesio Damario kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Pink Floyd's Fernando Vela sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teodoro Peio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Alberto Azevedo in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Gartxot prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Rodas in the 44th minute of play forced Pink Floyd's goalkeeper Fernando Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

Atlético Nacional's Celestino Rudolfo was substituted for Nemesio Damario. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Alberto Azevedo to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Baldomero Rodas sped through Pink Floyd's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fernando Gartxot. The supporters of Atlético Nacional booed when Pink Floyd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Bihar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernando Gartxot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomero Rodas in the 59th minute of the match. When Vicente Sasoin came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Atlético Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Sasoin couldn't finish the play. 62 minutes into the match, Pink Floyd's goal looked a bit too open when Baldomero Rodas came free, but Fernando Gartxot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabian Bihar's late challenge caught a Atlético Nacional's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Bihar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd match minute, Pink Floyd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Bihar to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baldomero Rodas in the 68th minute of play forced Pink Floyd's goalkeeper Fernando Gartxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Gartxot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Rodas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute Atlético Nacional were awarded a corner. Baldomero Rodas went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Baldomero Rodas got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Fernando Gartxot quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Carlos Alberto Azevedo took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Gartxot. Fernando Gartxot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0. After 77 minutes of play, Atlético Nacional's Carlos Alberto Azevedo made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernando Gartxot was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd minute Carlos Alberto Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Gartxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84thth minute of the game Carlos Alberto Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pink Floyd's Fernando Gartxot was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fernando Gartxot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Primitivo Mendez, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Fernando Gartxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Azevedo in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute Primitivo Mendez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Gartxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Gartxot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafin Theodore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 97 minutes into the match, Pink Floyd's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Herrera came free, but Fernando Gartxot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 98th match minute, Pink Floyd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Tebaldo to maneuver through the defense. Atlético Nacional walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
