Jonathan Arixo was slow to take the kick. During this time Mercado Paulista F.C's players had a chance to rest. Sebastian Jayvier was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Fernando Arquett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Ingemarsson in the 10th minute of the match. Daniel Urbasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Jayvier's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Fernando Arquett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Ingemarsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blas Beila got free with Fernando Arquett in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gladiadores's Blas Beila was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 32nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Fernando Arquett made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Blas Beila sent off a good shot on target. When Sebastian Jayvier came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Mercado Paulista F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Jayvier couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Sebastian Jayvier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mercado Paulista F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Jayvier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Urbasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th match minute, Mercado Paulista F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emir Mecnun to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Mercado Paulista F.C's Cristian de Lima was substituted for Sebastian Jayvier. The wind increased when Blas Beila made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gladiadores's goalkeeper Daniel Urbasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Urbasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian de Lima in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute, Cristian de Lima ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Urbasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Fernando Arquett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blas Beila in the 72nd minute of the match. After 81 played minutes Mercado Paulista F.C got a freekick which was hit by Norberto Nayely. Gladiadores's Albino Belo was substituted for Blas Beila. Mercado Paulista F.C's Adolfo Jorrin was substituted for Amado Herensuge. In the 82nd minute, Norberto Nayely hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 83rd minute of the match Pablo Innocenzio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernando Arquett skillfully saved the ball. In the 84th minute, Cristian de Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Mercado Paulista F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mercado Paulista F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
