Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-6 lead.

After some careless play in the Pogradeci FCA defense, Ovidio Bautista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andres Savion. The Pogradeci FCA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andres Savion should have stopped the shot. Adib Ovi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andres Savion read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Borussia Dortmund's Adib Ovi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andres Savion narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 97th minute of the match, Adib Ovi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Andres Savion saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Borussia Dortmund played a much better game than Pogradeci FCA and deserved their victory. The Pogradeci FCA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
