An unexpectedly hard shot by Nojus Bikas in the 3rd minute of play forced FC Lëtzebuerg's goalkeeper Rafa Vianna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Serdar Gulson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Ovidijus Merkelis made a huge save. FC Lëtzebuerg's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Severo Damario in the 9th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Qiu Xi Wen to score against Ovidijus Merkelis in Geležinis Vilkas's goal. 1-0 after 9 minutes. In the 13th minute of the match Eidvilas Daunoras sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafa Vianna skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Lëtzebuerg's Magnus Mikaelsson got a free kick in the 14th minute. Rafa Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nojus Bikas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute Serdar Gulson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidijus Merkelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Qiu Xi Wen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to FC Lëtzebuerg getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Marouane Rocchi hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nojus Bikas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ovidijus Merkelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serdar Gulson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serdar Gulson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Lëtzebuerg's Rafa Vianna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nojus Bikas in the 69th minute of play. Magnus Mikaelsson got a throw-in 74 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Marouane Rocchi. The supporters of Geležinis Vilkas booed when FC Lëtzebuerg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magnus Mikaelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With 78 minutes on the clock, Evis Salmanton commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The supporters of FC Lëtzebuerg booed when Geležinis Vilkas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Svetlozar Platikanov didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eidvilas Daunoras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that FC Lëtzebuerg were the better team. FC Lëtzebuerg's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
