After some careless play in the Pepsi Fuchibol Clu defense, Ricky Koppens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stéphane Brault. The Pepsi Fuchibol Clu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stéphane Brault should have stopped the shot. Ramon Centurión came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gustavo Guimarães could save by the left post. In the 37th minute Pepsi Fuchibol Clu were awarded a corner. Cordera Abella went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Cordera Abella to fire away a dangerous shot which Gustavo Guimarães despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With an all-out effort, Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Gustavo Guimarães threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ramon Centurión, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 43rd minute, Ricky Koppens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportivo Águila fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Lucio Eladio made the kick off in the second half. If Tiso Abarca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. Stéphane Brault was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58th minute, Ramon Centurión ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustavo Guimarães was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricky Koppens in the 66th minute of play forced Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's goalkeeper Stéphane Brault to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stéphane Brault made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Dário Diniz sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Pepsi Fuchibol Clu getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Tiso Abarca hit a great ball. Stéphane Brault showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricky Koppens, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivan Viscarra got free with Stéphane Brault in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pepsi Fuchibol Clu's Stéphane Brault proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Pepsi Fuchibol Clu from getting a goal against them. Manuel Reyes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Stéphane Brault made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Miguel Gallegos in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stéphane Brault prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Club Deportivo Águila walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
