An unexpectedly hard shot by Henric Villaquiran in the 23rd minute of play forced C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07's goalkeeper Giorgio March to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Picanya FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Almkvist came free, but Naldo Roig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christian Almkvist made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Saul Roman in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Naldo Roig saved Picanya FC from getting behind. Christian Almkvist received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Naldo Roig came out and tried to block the shot, but Christian Almkvist slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 54th minute. When Christian Almkvist came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Almkvist couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Picanya FC's Naldo Roig got control of the ball when Christian Almkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Picanya FC's Hori Aranzubia was substituted for Ugaitz Silva. In the 65th minute of the match C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 got a corner. Picanya FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Picanya FC's goalie and right to Gervasio Diagur. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Picanya FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched C.Atl.Torre Monreal 07 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
