The Várzea F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Augusto Quintal should have stopped the shot. Jude Monkhouse scored 1-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferit Boğatekin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jude Monkhouse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 28 minutes into the match, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Jude Monkhouse came free, but Ferit Boğatekin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, Rogério Saldanha fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 40 minutes into the match, Anderson Paiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferit Boğatekin. AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anderson Paiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Aloísio Secco hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Controller Junel missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 48 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Carlos Augusto Quintal right hand side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jude Monkhouse was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Gilmar Maranhense. 56 minutes into the match, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson Paiva came free, but Ferit Boğatekin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 59 played minutes AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Kück. AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's Ferit Boğatekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Secco in the 60th minute of play. Carlos Augusto Quintal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rahmad Lunggana showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-3 in the 65 minute of play. Rahmad Lunggana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carlos Augusto Quintal came out and tried to block the shot, but Rahmad Lunggana slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 69th minute. Várzea F.C.'s Daniel Isăceanu was substituted for João Francisco Tande. Ferit Boğatekin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dé Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Paiva in the 78th minute of play forced AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's goalkeeper Ferit Boğatekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anderson Paiva in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ferit Boğatekin saved AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ from getting behind. Carlos Augusto Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rahmad Lunggana in the 82nd minute of the match. After 84 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alf Tennenbaum. AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's Vivaldo Fantini was substituted for Gilmar Maranhense. AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's Gu Guang Cheng was substituted for Rahmad Lunggana. After a rather tough play, Várzea F.C.'s Alf Tennenbaum got a free kick in the 86th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anderson Paiva in the 89th minute of play forced AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's goalkeeper Ferit Boğatekin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gu Guang Cheng blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Augusto Quintal having to make a save. Gu Guang Cheng could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Carlos Augusto Quintal made a huge save. Ferit Boğatekin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 96 minutes into the match, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's Gu Guang Cheng sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Augusto Quintal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
