Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardinho Cardoso in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guga de Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Xandeco FC booed when Rezende FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonsinho Tasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Xandeco FC defense, Bernardinho Cardoso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guga de Azevedo. The Xandeco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guga de Azevedo should have stopped the shot. Xandeco FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
