Spectators: 144 (Terracing: 109, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Murilo Severo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Valdomiro Pirani was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Walmir Pombal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Walmir Pombal really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Penha Athletico Club's Valdomiro Pirani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Penha Athletico Club from getting a goal against them. Valdomiro Pirani came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Catugi FC's Carlos Alberto Soares. But to his dismay, Carlos Alberto Soares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Valdomiro Pirani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Alberto Soares in the 12th minute of the match. After 13 minutes, Belmiro Lucas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penha Athletico Club and the Catugi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Penha Athletico Club got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Lucas. A hard shot by Vicente Valladares from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Valdomiro Pirani's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when Penha Athletico Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frederico Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Catugi FC's Vicente Valladares shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 17th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Valdomiro Pirani but with some difficulty. Carlos Alberto Soares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Pirani having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Carlos Alberto Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catugi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdomiro Pirani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Penha Athletico Club's Valdomiro Pirani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Soares in the 35th minute of play. After 35 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Pimenta. Carlos Alberto Soares scored 5-0 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdomiro Pirani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valdomiro Pirani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Walmir Pombal in the 41st minute. Catugi FC's Carlos Alberto Soares was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 42nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The wind increased when Carlos Alberto Soares made the kick off in the second half. Walmir Pombal scored 7-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdomiro Pirani, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valdomiro Pirani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Alberto Soares's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Andrézinho Nogueira hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Penha Athletico Club defense, Walmir Pombal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdomiro Pirani. The Penha Athletico Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdomiro Pirani should have stopped the shot. Valdomiro Pirani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmir Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Valdomiro Pirani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Soares in the 80th minute of play. After 82 played minutes Penha Athletico Club got a freekick which was hit by Andrézinho Nogueira. When Tião Valle fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Penha Athletico Club's protests and gave Tião Valle a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Tião Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdomiro Pirani came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Catugi FC's Walmir Pombal. But to his dismay, Walmir Pombal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. 91 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Soares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Valdomiro Pirani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frederico Tinoco during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Catugi FC had played much better football throughout.
