After 9 played minutes Breguete FC got a freekick which was hit by Alexsandro Cruz. 15 minutes into the match, Breguete FC's goal looked a bit too open when Clóvis Cabral came free, but Artur Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Clóvis Cabral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Artur Pernambucano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eugênio de Carvalho was the one to do the kick off. Roderick van Boxels short, quick shot in the 54thth minute got Sune Rudberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Artur Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clóvis Cabral in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Clóvis Cabral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artur Pernambucano. Breguete FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clóvis Cabral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Sporting Uai MzC™'s John McCain was substituted for Clóvis Cabral. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, John McCain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sporting Uai MzC™'s supporters rose to their feet, but John McCain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artur Pernambucano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, John McCain put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Artur Pernambucano. The audience was convinced that Antônio Paulista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sune Rudberg was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. John McCain scored 4-0 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artur Pernambucano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Breguete FC's zone, John McCain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Pernambucano came out of the goal and John McCain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 89 minutes into the match, Sporting Uai MzC™'s John McCain sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artur Pernambucano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sune Rudberg made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Eugênio de Carvalho sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Sporting Uai MzC™'s Rüknettin Aysan got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Sune Rudberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roderick van Boxel in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute John McCain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sporting Uai MzC™'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
