C.'s Júlio Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Miranda in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Barões F. C.'s Nixon Richard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nildo Braga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gil Vianna in the 12th minute of play forced Barões F. C.'s goalkeeper Júlio Baiano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute Gil Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júlio Baiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nildo Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nixon Richard in the 20th minute of the match. Nixon Richard's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Nildo Braga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Barões F. C.'s Nixon Richard was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Nixon Richard in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. In the 36th minute of the match Barões F. C. got a corner. Tio Patinhas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Donato Paraibano ran over to the corner to take the kick. Donato Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Tio Patinhas getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Tostão Donato hit a great ball. Barões F. C.'s Donato Paraibano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nildo Braga in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Tio Patinhas's zone, Nixon Richard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nildo Braga came out of the goal and Nixon Richard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute, Josué Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nildo Braga was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nixon Richard showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 45 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Nixon Richard made the kick off in the second half. Nildo Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Queirós in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Geraldo Miranda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tio Patinhas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Nixon Richard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nixon Richard in the 57th minute of play forced Tio Patinhas's goalkeeper Nildo Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nildo Braga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nixon Richard's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. The Barões F. C. fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Barões F. C.'s Nixon Richard looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nixon Richard in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nildo Braga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 63rdth minute of the game Nixon Richard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tio Patinhas's Nildo Braga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Pedro Paulo Queirós sped through Tio Patinhas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nildo Braga. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Paraibano in the 67th minute of play forced Tio Patinhas's goalkeeper Nildo Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nixon Richard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nildo Braga having to make a save. Barões F. C. made a substitution. Cris Batistuta replaced Luiz Fábio Souto. In the 78thth minute of the game Josué Oliveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barões F. C.'s Júlio Baiano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Nixon Richard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nildo Braga was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Barões F. C.'s Nixon Richard got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Cris Batistuta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nildo Braga. Tio Patinhas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cris Batistuta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Barões F. C. had played much better football throughout.
