The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Célio Terra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Luís Fábio Machado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luiz Maciel struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Luiz Fabiano Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 100 Chance. After 15 minutes, Luiz Maciel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 100 Chance and the C.R. Vallongo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th minute, Luiz Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute, Anísio Matorin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.R. Vallongo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 100 Chance's Luís Fábio Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilton de Lima in the 24th minute of play. A collision led to 100 Chance getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Léo Bertassi hit a great ball. Wilton de Lima got in the 30th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Luís Fábio Machado handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Anísio Matorin hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Célio Terra in the 36th minute of play forced 100 Chance's goalkeeper Luís Fábio Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anísio Matorin in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Fábio Machado saved 100 Chance from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anísio Matorin to strike the kick off in the second half. Célio Terra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Fábio Andrade in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fabiano Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anísio Matorin scored 0-4 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Fábio Machado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Anísio Matorin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Fábio Machado having to make a save. The supporters of 100 Chance booed when C.R. Vallongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célio Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, 100 Chance's Luís Fábio Machado got control of the ball when Célio Terra tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 72 played minutes 100 Chance got a freekick which was hit by Dráuzio Paraíba. Teodoro Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Fábio Machado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodoro Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. 75 minutes into the match, 100 Chance's Matheus de Carvalho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Luiz Fabiano Cruz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 77 minutes into the match, 100 Chance's goal looked a bit too open when Célio Terra came free, but Luís Fábio Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute, Luiz Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 100 Chance's Luís Fábio Machado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save 100 Chance from getting a goal against them. Luís Fábio Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilton de Lima in the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, Luiz Maciel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Ramos got free with Luís Fábio Machado in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Mauro Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.R. Vallongo's supporters rose to their feet, but Mauro Ramos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Fábio Machado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 96 minutes into the match, 100 Chance's goal looked a bit too open when Wilton de Lima came free, but Luís Fábio Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded C.R. Vallongo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than 100 Chance.
