That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. 12 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's goal looked a bit too open when Dorival Alvarenga came free, but Jorginho Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Dorival Alvarenga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorginho Vaz was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 16th minute Dorival Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dorival Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Onze Bravos FC - FDFDF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorival Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. Portuguesa's Jorginho Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Alvarenga in the 21st minute of play. José Luis Heidemann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 任浩默, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dorival Alvarenga to make the kick off. José Luis Heidemann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David de Alcântara in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, Portuguesa's David de Alcântara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. José Luis Heidemann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
