Erasmo Linares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Bandeca FC's zone, Acácio Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Gamus came out of the goal and Acácio Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cido Ribeiro in the 42nd minute of play forced Bandeca FC's goalkeeper Guaberto Gamus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd match minute, Real Camaçari Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aírton Proença to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute Luiz Gustavo Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

53 minutes into the match, Bandeca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cido Ribeiro came free, but Guaberto Gamus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guaberto Gamus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aírton Proença, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aírton Proença's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guaberto Gamus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. When Aírton Proença came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Real Camaçari Futbol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aírton Proença couldn't finish the play. If Fernando Banders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aírton Proença in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guaberto Gamus saved Bandeca FC from getting behind. Cido Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Diamantino Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th match minute, Real Camaçari Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Luiz Fabiano Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bandeca FC made a substitution. Leandro de Senna replaced Fernando Banders. Real Camaçari Futbol Club walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
