The audience was convinced that Örjan Björkdahl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Norbert Balonek was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Norbert Balonek came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Örjan Björkdahl. But to his dismay, Örjan Björkdahl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Ademar Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Norbert Balonek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 12 played minutes PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Örjan Björkdahl. Ademar Rodrigues's late challenge caught a Goianésia E.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ademar Rodrigues helped the player get up and apologised. After 14 played minutes PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Rodrigues. When PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Örjan Björkdahl in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Goianésia E.C's goalie prevented a goal. 19 minutes into the match, Örjan Björkdahl had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Norbert Balonek. Goianésia E.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Örjan Björkdahl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 22 minutes into the game, João Trigo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Goianésia E.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ the free kick. The supporters of PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ booed when Goianésia E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd minute, Örjan Björkdahl made a precise shot to the right of Norbert Balonek. Goianésia E.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Goianésia E.C's zone, Edgard Dubardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norbert Balonek came out of the goal and Edgard Dubardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ademar Rodrigues in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Norbert Balonek saved Goianésia E.C from getting behind. Clarence Seedorf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edgard Dubardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the game, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Örjan Björkdahl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norbert Balonek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Norbert Balonek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Örjan Björkdahl in the 41st minute of the match. Kléberson Guedes hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Norbert Balonek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Örjan Björkdahl went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score.

In the 53rdth minute of the game Örjan Björkdahl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Goianésia E.C's Norbert Balonek was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. César Delgado charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed César Delgado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Örjan Björkdahl scored 0-10 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Norbert Balonek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Norbert Balonek was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Örjan Björkdahl capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Örjan Björkdahl really showed his touch with that goal: 0-11. Tiago España received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. John Osomo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norbert Balonek was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Örjan Björkdahl showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-12 in the 89 minute of play. After 96 minutes Goianésia E.C's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edgard Dubardo who took care of the corner kick.
