The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Duarte Félix was the one to do the kick off. A.A. Francana's Renan Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duarte Félix in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Arthur Bufi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Duarte Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Charlie Boström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arthur Bufi. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charlie Boström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Hélder Lara was substituted for Enrique de Mendonça. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Brock Friend was substituted for Duarte Félix. Olavo Quadros kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Arthur Bufi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Boström in the 75th minute of play. If Roman Koenig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gong Fan kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. With a little luck, A.A. Francana's Renan Melo got control of the ball when 余永川 tried to sneak it across the goal line. A.A. Francana's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
