Hendrik-Jan Brugmans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Coutinho in the 21st minute of the match. When Carlos Fernando Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored São Paulo Leste F.C.'s protests and gave Carlos Fernando Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of AÇAÍ SA booed when São Paulo Leste F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute of the game Erasmo Arce made a throw-in which David Coutinho played forward. Ian Souto lost his temper 95 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Ian Souto hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. With a little luck, AÇAÍ SA's Hendrik-Jan Brugmans got control of the ball when Maximilian Mellberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. São Paulo Leste F.C. played a much better game than AÇAÍ SA and deserved their victory. The AÇAÍ SA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
