Longobarda's attentive Manuel Zărnescu managed to snatch the ball when Iosif Gherase made a throw-in in the 2nd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edwin Godholm in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damiano Battisti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Eurospeed Asti booed when Longobarda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin Godholm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Davide Moscatelli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damiano Battisti having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Longobarda's Davide Moscatelli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damiano Battisti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Anthimos Vougas fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Longobarda's protests and gave Anthimos Vougas a yellow card for diving instead. Anthimos Vougas kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edwin Godholm in the 22nd minute of play forced Eurospeed Asti's goalkeeper Damiano Battisti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eurospeed Asti's Damiano Battisti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Moscatelli in the 25th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Eurospeed Asti got a freekick which was hit by Grant Irø. After 30 played minutes Longobarda got a freekick which was hit by Frank Cherubini. 34 minutes into the game, Antonello Tofani was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eurospeed Asti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Longobarda the free kick. In the 34th match minute, Eurospeed Asti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonello Tofani to maneuver through the defense. Damiano Battisti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwin Godholm in the 36th minute of play. Lev Yashin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Pinti in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute Eurospeed Asti were awarded a corner. Fortunato Borromeo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Eurospeed Asti's Grant Irø to fire away a dangerous shot which Lev Yashin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Grant Irø lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Lev Yashin. Damiano Battisti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edwin Godholm in the 46th minute of the match. Lev Yashin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fortunato Borromeo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elia Pietrantoni was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th match minute, Longobarda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Cherubini to maneuver through the defense. When Elia Pietrantoni came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Eurospeed Asti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elia Pietrantoni couldn't finish the play. Edwin Godholm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lev Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Pinti in the 55th minute of the match. In the 58th minute Fausto Pinti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edwin Godholm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Damiano Battisti made a huge save. Davide Moscatelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Longobarda's Zhang Xiang was substituted for Florian Cocca. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Borromeo in the 84th minute of play forced Longobarda's goalkeeper Lev Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Longobarda! Longobarda's Lev Yashin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Pinti in the 94th minute of play. Damiano Battisti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Pezzi in the 95th minute of the match.
