Alberto Scutti received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Šair Lihovac came out and tried to block the shot, but Alberto Scutti slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. In the 8th minute Alberto Scutti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Šair Lihovac saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Šair Lihovac made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Scutti in the 10th minute. Alvaro Felli charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvaro Felli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Borgo Doria F.C. booed when Flacara Militari was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Felli didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Flacara Militari's Šair Lihovac got control of the ball when Alberto Scutti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Šair Lihovac made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Alberto Scutti sent off a good shot on target. Šair Lihovac made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Bottone in the 22nd minute of play. Šair Lihovac showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ercole Mian in the 24th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Flacara Militari defense, Ercole Mian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Šair Lihovac. The Flacara Militari fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Šair Lihovac should have stopped the shot. Ercole Mian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Šair Lihovac having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Scutti got free with Šair Lihovac in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A hard shot 33 in the game by Alberto Scutti from a close distance when the talented Šair Lihovac managed to make a qualified save. Flacara Militari's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinando Trabucco in the 34th minute of play forced Flacara Militari's goalkeeper Šair Lihovac to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flacara Militari's Šair Lihovac played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Trabucco in the 35th minute of play. Šair Lihovac showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabio Bottone in the 36th minute of the match. Šair Lihovac showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ercole Mian, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Basri Özyurt scored 4-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Šair Lihovac, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Šair Lihovac was a little too slow when Ercole Mian got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ciro Silvi was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Borgo Doria F.C.'s Alberto Scutti nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Šair Lihovac made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After 54 minutes of play Flacara Militari's Jiří Tykal was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 55th match minute, Flacara Militari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jiří Tykal to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Bottone in the 58th minute of play forced Flacara Militari's goalkeeper Šair Lihovac to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Šair Lihovac didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Scutti went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. After 66 minutes, Alberto Scutti made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Flacara Militari's Šair Lihovac tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Šair Lihovac showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Bottone, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Šair Lihovac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Scutti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Šair Lihovac was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Ercole Mian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Šair Lihovac showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Bottone, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Flacara Militari's zone, Ercole Mian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Šair Lihovac came out of the goal and Ercole Mian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Borgo Doria F.C. had played much better football throughout.
