In the 7th minute Peter Blomkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Murillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 minutes Darkness's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antonio Alzamendi who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Timoteo Fiz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Darkness's Oswaldo Murillo did a great save. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Darkness's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antonio Alzamendi took the corner. Oswaldo Murillo came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Peter Blomkvist. But to his dismay, Peter Blomkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Oswaldo Murillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Blomkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Blomkvist in the 19th minute of play forced Darkness's goalkeeper Oswaldo Murillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicasio Abad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ole-Gunnar Klose, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ole-Gunnar Klose had several of the Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 25 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Nicasio Abad as he didn't even see the shot coming. Oswaldo Murillo came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Peter Blomkvist. But to his dismay, Peter Blomkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Blomkvist in the 34th minute of play forced Darkness's goalkeeper Oswaldo Murillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 minutes Darkness's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antonio Alzamendi who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s corner Joel Enekoitz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Oswaldo Murillo quite easily take care of the ball. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Joel Enekoitz put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Oswaldo Murillo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Blomkvist in the 41st minute of play forced Darkness's goalkeeper Oswaldo Murillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswaldo Murillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Peter Blomkvist's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Peter Blomkvist scored 1-4 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oswaldo Murillo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

Oswaldo Murillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Blomkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. With a little luck, Darkness's Oswaldo Murillo got control of the ball when Peter Blomkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Oswaldo Murillo made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Peter Blomkvist sent off a good shot on target. Peter Blomkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Oswaldo Murillo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Pietro Salles was substituted for Peter Blomkvist. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Blas Frances in the 72nd minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Joel Enekoitz heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Kosmas Banasopoulos was substituted for Joel Enekoitz. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pietro Salles got free with Oswaldo Murillo in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pietro Salles's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Oswaldo Murillo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 83 minutes into the match, Darkness's goalkeeper Oswaldo Murillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pietro Salles. Oswaldo Murillo was a little too slow when Pietro Salles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-5. The supporters of Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ booed when Darkness was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. César Montes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darkness's Oswaldo Murillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Darkness from getting a goal against them. The Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
