In the 8th match minute, Loja S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reasco Landeros to maneuver through the defense. Loja S.C.'s Joel Caton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Iglesias in the 9th minute of play. Joel Caton was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ruben Iglesias showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Justavino Centeno hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, YerBaTerOs's Ascencio Puente sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Caton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Iglesias in the 17th minute of play forced Loja S.C.'s goalkeeper Joel Caton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The YerBaTerOs fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when YerBaTerOs's Ruben Iglesias looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 24 minutes YerBaTerOs's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Reasco Landeros who took care of the corner kick. Ruben Iglesias struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Joel Caton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for YerBaTerOs. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ruben Iglesias in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Caton saved Loja S.C. from getting behind. Ruben Iglesias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joel Caton having to make a save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Felix Pascua to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Anguciana in the 55th minute of play forced Loja S.C.'s goalkeeper Joel Caton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Loco Fondos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arévalo Urrutia kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After 58 played minutes Loja S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Felix Pascua. In the 63rd match minute, Loja S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Vedeja to maneuver through the defense. Joel Caton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Bruna in the 69th minute of play. Villegas Villagarcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felix Pascua, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 74th minute Lucio Bruna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Caton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zoil Soltero in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Caton prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th minute, Zoil Soltero made a precise shot to the right of Joel Caton. Loja S.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Loja S.C.'s Joel Caton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Anguciana in the 81st minute of play. Joel Caton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andres Anguciana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 minutes of play, YerBaTerOs's Lucio Bruna made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Caton was left in no man's land by his defense there! Loja S.C.'s Veronica Sabugo was substituted for Tomas Villadiego. YerBaTerOs's Villegas Villagarcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jose Aumada in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Veronica Sabugo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Villegas Villagarcia. The goal made the score 5-1. Felix Pascua hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Anguciana in the 98th minute of play forced Loja S.C.'s goalkeeper Joel Caton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. YerBaTerOs's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
