After 4 minutes, Orfilio Orbañanos made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ovalle City's Pawel Siedlecki tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Orfilio Orbañanos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pawel Siedlecki having to interfere. Ovalle City's Pawel Siedlecki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orfilio Orbañanos in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Ovalle City's goalkeeper Pawel Siedlecki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orfilio Orbañanos. Orfilio Orbañanos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pawel Siedlecki having to make a save. Ovalle City's Pawel Siedlecki proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Ovalle City from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Orfilio Orbañanos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pawel Siedlecki was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. When Domingo Barcena came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the U. de Tarapacá fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingo Barcena couldn't finish the play. With an all-out effort, U. de Tarapacá's Pawel Siedlecki threw himself towards the right post 23 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Domingo Barcena, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. U. de Tarapacá were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Ovalle City's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rafael Demanet took the corner. Orfilio Orbañanos was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The audience was convinced that Joe Uytterhaegen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ariel Balboa was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 34th minute Ovalle City were awarded a corner. Severino Coutinho went to the cornerflag to take it. After a rather tough play, U. de Tarapacá's Domingo Barcena got a free kick in the 47th minute.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joe Uytterhaegen to make the kick off. When Anselmo Cossio fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ovalle City's protests and gave Anselmo Cossio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ovalle City's goalkeeper Pawel Siedlecki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pawel Siedlecki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orfilio Orbañanos in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, U. de Tarapacá's Orfilio Orbañanos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pawel Siedlecki narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orfilio Orbañanos in the 58th minute of play forced Ovalle City's goalkeeper Pawel Siedlecki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 60 minutes into the match, Orfilio Orbañanos notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Ovalle City's Pawel Siedlecki. Pawel Siedlecki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 66thth minute of the game Domingo Barcena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ovalle City's Pawel Siedlecki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Domingo Barcena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 69th minute Domingo Barcena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pawel Siedlecki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Coutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Domingo Barcena might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pawel Siedlecki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domingo Barcena ran back to his position shaking his head. 75 minutes into the match, Ovalle City's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Barcena came free, but Pawel Siedlecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 minutes, Julio Diaz de Valdes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ovalle City and the U. de Tarapacá players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Julio Diaz de Valdes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, U. de Tarapacá's Rafael Demanet tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Domingo Barcena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pawel Siedlecki read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Pawel Siedlecki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingo Barcena in the 79th minute of play. After 82 minutes of play, U. de Tarapacá's Domingo Barcena made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pawel Siedlecki was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pawel Siedlecki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Barcena in the 85th minute of the match. When Julio Diaz de Valdes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 86 minutes had been played. Julio Diaz de Valdes hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Ovalle City defense, Domingo Barcena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pawel Siedlecki. The Ovalle City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pawel Siedlecki should have stopped the shot. If Domingo Barcena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Domingo Barcena scored 6-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pawel Siedlecki, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Domingo Barcena took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pawel Siedlecki. Pawel Siedlecki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. U. de Tarapacá had won after a very even match.
