With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tivadar Demeter in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horaţiu Petran saved Gyál United from getting behind. In the 26thth minute of the game Kemal Davarcı who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 26th play minutes Kemal Davarcı shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Arnold Szuper and just under the crossbar into goal. Horaţiu Petran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tivadar Demeter's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Tivadar Demeter sped through Gyál United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Horaţiu Petran. In the 71st minute, Zoltán Varga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute Ignác Mayer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnold Szuper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Szombathely Squirrels's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ignác Mayer was slow to take the kick. During this time Gyál United's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Gyál United's corner Ignác Mayer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnold Szuper quite easily take care of the ball. When Zoltán Varga, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 80 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Arnold Szuper was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
