KFC Paal-Tervant's Reinaud De Schutter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebio Fiz in the 13th minute of play. Reinaud De Schutter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Oinatz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Mainumby booed when KFC Paal-Tervant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bram Van Wontergem didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the game, Mainumby's Gerardo Oinatz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reinaud De Schutter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Benigno Ilazki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Louis Reuters in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolaas Van Hamme got free with Benigno Ilazki in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Reinaert Leempoels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rudy Verheije fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Paal-Tervant's protests and gave Rudy Verheije a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th match minute, KFC Paal-Tervant was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudy Verheije to maneuver through the defense. Mainumby's Bernardo Benet was substituted for Luis Semeno. Mainumby's Amancio Tallia was substituted for Candido Cugat. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Benigno Ilazki was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reinaert Leempoels in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benigno Ilazki prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
