After a rather tough play, Roncourt's Octave Debarre got a free kick in the 10th minute. Winthont FC's Egbert Fleur shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Brian Fumey but with some difficulty. Brian Fumey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobus Lubbers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Marc Kazmierczak in the 22nd minute of play forced Winthont FC's goalkeeper Jan-Peter Wansink to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jean-Marc Kazmierczak struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Jan-Peter Wansink didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roncourt. In the 26th minute Jean-Marc Kazmierczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Peter Wansink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28thth minute of the game Jean-Marc Kazmierczak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Winthont FC's Jan-Peter Wansink was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Jérôme Baly advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-2 in the 29th minute. Winthont FC's Jan-Peter Wansink played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Marc Kazmierczak in the 32nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jean-Marc Kazmierczak in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Peter Wansink saved Winthont FC from getting behind. In the 34th minute Jean-Marc Kazmierczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Peter Wansink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Winthont FC's Roland Koekkoek slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Brian Fumey. That made the score 1-2 after 39 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Jean-Marc Kazmierczak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan-Peter Wansink was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

After a rather tough play, Roncourt's Dominique Gernigon got a free kick in the 50th minute. Winthont FC's Egbert Fleur got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Jean-Marc Kazmierczak made a precise shot to the right of Jan-Peter Wansink. Winthont FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Roncourt's Titouan Delhommeau was substituted for Dominique Gernigon. Jean-Marc Kazmierczak received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jan-Peter Wansink came out and tried to block the shot, but Jean-Marc Kazmierczak slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 65th minute. Roncourt's Louison Bassot was substituted for Horácio Larreta. Jean-Marc Kazmierczak scored 1-6 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Peter Wansink, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 84 minutes into the game, Jean-Marc Kazmierczak recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jan-Peter Wansink. Jean-Marc Kazmierczak showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7. The audience thought a goal was coming when Titouan Delhommeau got free with Jan-Peter Wansink in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Winthont FC's Jan-Peter Wansink played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean-Marc Kazmierczak in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Marc Kazmierczak in the 95th minute of play forced Winthont FC's goalkeeper Jan-Peter Wansink to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Roncourt supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Roncourt would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
