Steve Van der Veeken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Holger Knoche in the 4th minute of play. Tansel Visali kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Beat Buckmann hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Philippe-Arnaud Bourguignon during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Purple Talents's Philippe-Arnaud Bourguignon got a free kick in the 17th minute. Niklas Sauter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qiu Feng Guo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Kaspar Bretzel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 25th minute, Raimund Wacker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaspar Bretzel in the 32nd minute of play forced Purple Talents's goalkeeper Steve Van der Veeken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute Kaspar Bretzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve Van der Veeken saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 played minutes Purple Talents got a freekick which was hit by Ricky Waegemans. After 36 minutes of play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Kaspar Bretzel made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steve Van der Veeken was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 39 played minutes SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. got a freekick which was hit by Martin Braun. Purple Talents's Santiago Koffidis shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 40th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Niklas Sauter but with some difficulty. Steve Van der Veeken didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kaspar Bretzel went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raimund Wacker during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Purple Talents booed when SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimund Wacker didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Qiu Feng Guo came free, but Niklas Sauter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kaspar Bretzel to make the kick off. The Purple Talents fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
