Kaspar Bretzel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Niklas Sauter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qiu Feng Guo in the 7th minute of play. Raimund Wacker made in the 11th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Purple Talents's Charl Anthonis. Steve Van der Veeken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beat Buckmann in the 17th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ricky Waegemans came free, but Niklas Sauter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hever Plasencia fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Purple Talents's protests and gave Hever Plasencia a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Purple Talents getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Hever Plasencia hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Ricky Waegemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niklas Sauter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 minutes of play, Purple Talents's Ricky Waegemans made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Niklas Sauter was left in no man's land by his defense there! 31 minutes into the match, Qiu Feng Guo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Niklas Sauter. Niklas Sauter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beat Buckmann got free with Steve Van der Veeken in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Qiu Feng Guo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Niklas Sauter read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beat Buckmann got free with Steve Van der Veeken in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Niklas Sauter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qiu Feng Guo in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Kaspar Bretzel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steve Van der Veeken was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kaspar Bretzel was the one to do the kick off. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Niklas Sauter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Qiu Feng Guo in the 51st minute of play. Purple Talents's Perry Van den Sande was substituted for Tiradet Do Bonde. 69 minutes into the match, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s goalkeeper Niklas Sauter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Qiu Feng Guo. In the 72nd match minute, Purple Talents was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hever Plasencia to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute of the match Fabien Tischler sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Steve Van der Veeken skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. booed when Purple Talents was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perry Van den Sande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steve Van der Veeken showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Braun in the 77th minute of the match. After some careless play in the SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. defense, Qiu Feng Guo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niklas Sauter. The SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niklas Sauter should have stopped the shot. Qiu Feng Guo kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Qiu Feng Guo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Niklas Sauter made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Holger Knoche in the 89th minute of play forced Purple Talents's goalkeeper Steve Van der Veeken to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beat Buckmann kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Qiu Feng Guo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Niklas Sauter made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Purple Talents's Ricky Waegemans got a free kick in the 93rd minute. The SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Purple Talents's performance. The match ended with a win for Purple Talents.
