The audience thought a goal was coming when Guido Carrillo got free with Teodoro Jacinto in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when São Paulo da Floresta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Augusto Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Xande Cachorro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tautvydas Mickevičius. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xande Cachorro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. São Paulo da Floresta's Teodoro Jacinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Carrillo in the 14th minute of play. Teodoro Jacinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guido Carrillo's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. 18 minutes into the match, São Paulo da Floresta's Xande Cachorro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tautvydas Mickevičius narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tautvydas Mickevičius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Sierocki in the 21st minute of play. Tautvydas Mickevičius came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by São Paulo da Floresta's Xande Cachorro. But to his dismay, Xande Cachorro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Tautvydas Mickevičius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xande Cachorro in the 30th minute of play. Epifanio Cebrian didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Bernard Sierocki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tautvydas Mickevičius was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. In the 46th minute Xande Cachorro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tautvydas Mickevičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guido Carrillo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 62nd minute Xande Cachorro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tautvydas Mickevičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Omar Erez was substituted for Osvaldo Gabon. São Paulo da Floresta made a substitution. Luís Paulo Linhares replaced Xande Cachorro. After 68 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Txomin. 69 minutes into the game, São Paulo da Floresta's Luís Paulo Linhares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tautvydas Mickevičius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. A collision led to ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Vicente Txomin hit a great ball. The long shot by Epifanio Cebrian in the 72nd minute really tested Tautvydas Mickevičius's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Tautvydas Mickevičius made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Luís Paulo Linhares sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Paulo Linhares got free with Tautvydas Mickevičius in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teodoro Jacinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guido Carrillo's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Guido Carrillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Jacinto having to interfere. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Guido Carrillo got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 90 played minutes São Paulo da Floresta got a freekick which was hit by Tony Campidelis. Teodoro Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Erez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Omar Erez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
