When the match had gone on for 4 minutes, Betadur Medel took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Josep Litago to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vellito Cabañeros during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. HORTALEZA FC made a substitution. Tancredo Buendia replaced Aldo Quintanilla. A collision led to Montevideo City Torque getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Vellito Cabañeros hit a great ball. Goi Serrano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. HORTALEZA FC's Josep Litago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save HORTALEZA FC from getting a goal against them. Vellito Cabañeros took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Josep Litago. HORTALEZA FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. HORTALEZA FC's Josep Litago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save HORTALEZA FC from getting a goal against them. After 33 minutes, Ion Balboa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HORTALEZA FC and the Montevideo City Torque players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to HORTALEZA FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Ion Balboa hit a great ball. Betadur Medel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Josep Litago made a huge save. Ion Balboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Manoel Loarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The long shot by Tonio Farell in the 43rd minute really tested Josep Litago's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Manoel Loarte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ion Balboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Tancredo Buendia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manoel Loarte having to interfere. Montevideo City Torque's Santos Poves was substituted for Bizi Saludes. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ion Balboa to make the kick off. Manoel Loarte was a little too slow when Ion Balboa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 1-1. 64 minutes into the match, Montevideo City Torque's Rodrigo Alvarez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josep Litago narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to HORTALEZA FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Erasto Beloki hit a great ball. Josep Litago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tonio Farell in the 73rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Alvarez during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Montevideo City Torque's Rodrigo Alvarez got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Josep Litago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Betadur Medel, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. A collision led to HORTALEZA FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Ion Balboa hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, Betadur Medel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Josep Litago was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Ritchie Negro kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Betadur Medel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rodrigo Alvarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Montevideo City Torque had won after a very even match.
