Ramiro Gagriel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeferson Montenegro's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Evaristo Gaufred's late challenge caught a Ibirama Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Gaufred helped the player get up and apologised. Dedê Trancoso kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Machine Gun Kelly were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Ibirama Futebol Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Evaristo Gaufred took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Evaristo Gaufred got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Froilan Dolcet quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemesio Acuña in the 11th minute of play forced Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Froilan Dolcet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Domingos Peter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Domingos Peter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the last second Froilan Dolcet throw himself and got hold of the ball when Domingos Peter in the 26thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Froilan Dolcet came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Machine Gun Kelly's Clodoveo Galoer. But to his dismay, Clodoveo Galoer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Clodoveo Galoer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Froilan Dolcet having to interfere. The Ibirama Futebol Clube fans' excitement grew in the 37th match minute when Ibirama Futebol Clube's Joaquim Félix looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ramiro Gagriel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Félix in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41stth minute of the game Jeferson Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Machine Gun Kelly's Ramiro Gagriel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Machine Gun Kelly's Ramiro Gagriel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Félix in the 43rd minute of play. Ramiro Gagriel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Machine Gun Kelly's Evaristo Gaufred got his second yellow card of the match in the 45th minute. The referee ordered Evaristo Gaufred off the ground. Evaristo Gaufred kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Nemesio Acuña took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 52nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Froilan Dolcet. Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Ibirama Futebol Clube booed when Machine Gun Kelly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Peter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joaquim Félix sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Peter in the 62nd minute of play forced Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Froilan Dolcet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Machine Gun Kelly's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Flavio Sayveon in the 63rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Flavio Sayveon got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Froilan Dolcet quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Machine Gun Kelly's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Jeferson Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Ramiro Gagriel, making the score, 1-2. 71 minutes into the game, Jeferson Montenegro lined in a short shot 1-3 behind a frustrated Ramiro Gagriel. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeferson Montenegro got free with Ramiro Gagriel in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 77 minutes, Flavio Sayveon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Machine Gun Kelly and the Ibirama Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Joaquim Félix got a free kick in the 89th minute. After 94 played minutes Machine Gun Kelly got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Acuña. The Ibirama Futebol Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ibirama Futebol Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
