In the 3rd minute of the match, Nazım Taci tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Honorio Loreto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Berkan Temel struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Honorio Loreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New York Red Bulls. After a rather tough play, Jarana FC's Serafin Menendo got a free kick in the 5th minute. 7 minutes into the match, New York Red Bulls's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Lluc came free, but Eduardo Pereyra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Berkan Temel got free with Honorio Loreto in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Honorio Loreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Euloxu in the 13th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Serafin Menendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roque Euloxu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Honorio Loreto having to make a save. Eduardo Pereyra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Lluc, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Eduardo Pereyra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeledon Lluc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jarana FC were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after New York Red Bulls's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luan Toro took the corner. After taking down the ball on Jarana FC's corner Luan Toro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Eduardo Pereyra quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Jarana FC's Honorio Loreto got control of the ball when Roque Euloxu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eduardo Pereyra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luan Toro in the 35th minute of play. New York Red Bulls's Eduardo Pereyra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Roda in the 38th minute of play. Zeledon Lluc blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eduardo Pereyra having to make a save. If Basarab Panduru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 45 in the game by Roque Euloxu from a close distance when the talented Honorio Loreto managed to make a qualified save. Jarana FC's players were relieved. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luan Toro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jarana FC's Honorio Loreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazım Taci in the 50th minute of play. Honorio Loreto came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by New York Red Bulls's Roque Euloxu. But to his dismay, Roque Euloxu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Honorio Loreto didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when New York Red Bulls's Berkan Temel shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-0 in the ordered_time% minute. New York Red Bulls's Remus Bercea was substituted for Nazım Taci. After a rather tough play, New York Red Bulls's Basarab Panduru got a free kick in the 65th minute. The supporters of New York Red Bulls booed when Jarana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Tono didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Berkan Temel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Honorio Loreto was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 81st match minute, Jarana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anacleto Tono to maneuver through the defense. Dario Cinalli kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the game, New York Red Bulls's Berkan Temel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Honorio Loreto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. There was no doubt that New York Red Bulls were the better team. New York Red Bulls's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
