Maurinho Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Lira having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Afonso Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Nuno Lara in the 21st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Templários MZC's Angelo Silveira. Almir Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edson Prestes in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Raúl Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th match minute, Templários MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomasz Latocha to maneuver through the defense. Dário Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Nuno Lara threw the ball into play from the sideline. The coaching staff of Templários MZC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tomasz Latocha had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Tomasz Latocha kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of Irreal Madrid booed when Templários MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Nóbrega didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th match minute, Templários MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho Almeida to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st match minute, Irreal Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geraldo Passos to maneuver through the defense. Templários MZC's Pedro Augusto Sousa was substituted for Maurinho Almeida. Almir Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubinho Luz in the 92nd minute of play. Templários MZC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
