Luís Fabiano Artime fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Lira having to interfere. When Johnnie Black fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's protests and gave Johnnie Black a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Irreal Madrid booed when Belgrano LOS PIRATAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnnie Black didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fabiano Artime in the 25th minute of play forced Irreal Madrid's goalkeeper Dário Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th match minute, Irreal Madrid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Recife to maneuver through the defense. After 27 played minutes Belgrano LOS PIRATAS got a freekick which was hit by Anastasio Orlondo. In the 31st minute Igor Monø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hipolito Mantzio hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Dário Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Fabiano Artime in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Fabiano Artime to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Irreal Madrid's Luiz Gustavo Leão got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 54th match minute, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnnie Black to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Luís Fabiano Artime hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ademir Chaves in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nahuel Losada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With an all-out effort, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Dário Lira threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luís Fabiano Artime, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 75th minute Edson Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nahuel Losada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dráusio Domingues was slow to take the kick. During this time Irreal Madrid's players had a chance to rest. Dráusio Domingues made a great header on Irreal Madrid's corner, it was just that Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Nahuel Losada managed to reach the ball for a save. After 78 played minutes Irreal Madrid got a freekick which was hit by Júnior Baiano. 83 minutes into the match, Irreal Madrid's goalkeeper Dário Lira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Fabiano Artime. Dário Lira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luís Fabiano Artime showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 83 minute of play. Mauro Bikendi hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Emanuel Ferdinand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Irreal Madrid's much stronger midfield.
